Q: Did the miracles in the Bible really happen, or were they just events that people in those days couldn’t understand, although today we can explain them because we look at things scientifically? — R.B.
A: There is no credible evidence that the miracles described in the bible actually occurred. It is possible, as you say, that these were events that could not be understood scientifically at the time, and so were described as miracles. Since the earliest gospel (Mark) was not written until at least 45 years after the alleged death of Jesus, the recorded accounts of these events are likely embellishments of the actual events and initial miracle claims. It is also very possible that the miracles described in the bible have no historical basis and are pure myth.
