Q: Why didn’t Jesus stay on earth longer? It seems to me that He could have done a lot more good if He’d lived a long time. After all, He could have avoided getting arrested and put to death, couldn’t He? — N.N.
A: If Jesus had existed and was a benevolent god, he certainly “could have done a lot more good if He’d lived a long time.” He also should have had the power to avoid capture and execution. You could also say that any god that exists could remove oppression, sickness, suffering, birth defects, etc. from our world with a thought. The most logical reason these did not happen is that there are no gods.
